PRELIMINARY STATE LEAGUE BRACKETS

A few things to consider:

The bottom two teams in Division 2 in the U15 and above age groups are approved for possible placement in Div 2.

U14 and younger teams that have moved clubs do not retain their positions, the position is held by the club.  The club has the option to keep the position or to rescind the position.  Clubs that wish to rescind a position MUST contact Ryan Schmeckpeper at the AYSA office via email at schmeck13@gmail.com as soon as possible.

U15 and older teams that have moved clubs and retained 12 players will drop one division in State League.  Teams that do not retain 12 players will drop out of State League and the position will be held by the club.  The club has the option to keep the position or to rescind the position.  Clubs that wish to rescind a position MUST contact Ryan Schmeckpeper at the AYSA office via email at schmeck13@gmail.com as soon as possible.

Arizona STATE League Regarding New Teams and Teams that have moved clubs.

New Teams
A team that wishes to apply to State League must be the first or second team in one of the leagues mentioned below. After your team has applied the State League Committee will consider your request for the upcoming season.

Teams switching clubs U11 – U14
A U11-U14 team that switches clubs, loses their position in State League and must play a season in a qualifying league listed below and finish either 1st or 2nd to be eligible for State League the following season.

Teams switching clubs U15 – U19
A U15-U19 team playing in Div 1 of State League will drop to Div 2. A U15-U19 team playing in Div2 of State League will drop out of State League and must play in a qualifying league to be eligible for the following season.

In all age groups if a team leaves a club, the club will keep the position held by the team with the option of fielding a team for that position or relinquishing the position. If a club relinquishes the position the rest of the bracket will move up one position.

At the last state/open league meeting it was proposed that AYSA develop a forum for club representatives to access when discussing or voting on issues. We are in the process of setting up a forum for both the open and state league. The forums will be password protected. Below are some guidelines for use:

1. Each post must contain the name of the person making the post and the club name
2. Each club may only have one representative post. If your club has more than one person posting all the club's postings will be removed
3. If there is an unidentified post it will be removed.
4. You may have one rep for open league and one rep for state league, or you may use the same rep for both leagues.

Please forward the name and email of your club representative to Leslie, aysaoffmgr@aol.com. If you are using a different rep per league, please clarify which league. Once received, a password will be emailed to you.
